Karnataka Bags 25% of all Investment Projects
November 13, 2018
Karnataka received the highest amount of investment proposals in the first 3 quarters of FY18. As per the data with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the state received investment proposals worth ₹83.23 crores. Since the total amount of proposals in India stood at ₹3.38 lakh crores, Karnataka alone makes for 25% of it all. Interestingly it left behind two other major states Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Although Karnataka received the highest amount in proposals, the actual number of projects that were proposed were only 92 out of 1,486 received by the country. This goes to show that the limited number of projects were actually big-ticket projects.
