Karnataka’s Startup Policy to be Amended in Tune with Central Policy

Rural development minister Krishna Byre Gowda said that the Karnataka Cabinet has decided to amend the Karnataka Startup Policy 2015-2020 to be in line with the national policy.

Gowda said that the central policy is more detailed than state policy and that it can be used for up to 10 years unlike the latter for which the startups should not exceed 4 years. He also said that “Chief Minister Grameena Sumarga” program is also approved under which select roads in the villages will be upgraded to be in a good motorable condition. It will cost around ₹7,182 crores during the next 5 years, he said.
