Maharashtra Govt releases ₹57cr for 70,000 ASHA workers

Maharashtra health minister Rajesh Tope said a sum of ₹57 crore has been launched through the authorities towards payment of increase in allowance of some 70,000 ASHA workers underneath the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).

Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHA) is a key factor in implementation of NRHM and paintings as an interface between the network and the general public health gadget.

Tope said, “ASHA people, who enlarge various fitness services and help implement schemes for humans, can be getting extended allowances for the period between July and October.”
