Maruti’s Production Slashed for 7th Consecutive Month

As Maruti Suzuki India is struggling to maintain its cash flow in a worsening auto sector, the company had to slash production by 33.99% in August, which was the 7th month in a row. In July, the company had reduced production by 25.15%.

While production of compact and mini segment cars viz. Ignis, Alto, WagonR, etc. were reduced to 80,909 units against 1,22,824 units last year, that of utility cars like Ertiga and Vitara Breeza were also reduced to 15,099 units against 23,176 units from a year ago.
