Mergers and acquisitions are likely to see a significant uptick in India’s startup world

Acquisitions will face problems in India’s startup world over the 3-6 months, as companies are affected due to the outbreak of coronavirus in the country. Most of the acquisitions will take place in India’s retail and banking sectors.

Karan Sharma, cohead digital and technology, at Avendus Capital, “During the time of pandemic VC’s and entrepreneurs will be able to think creatively. Some conversations which were going to take place n future could now get accelerated during the time of pandemic”.

Entrepreneurs, particularly those who are facing cash problems and businesses, are urged to look for opportunities to merge with the market giants.
