More Than 20 Banks May Get Fined for Failing to Achieve Daily Aadhaar Enrollment Targets
Around 23 banks including Bank of Baroda (BoB), HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank might be penalized for failing to register at least 8 new Aadhaar enrollments or Aadhaar updates per branch every day from November 1.

The Aadhaar-issuing body UIDAI had asked the banks to ensure at least 8 enrollments or updates daily in each branch from July 1, 12 per day from October 1, and 16 per day from January 1, 2019 onwards. However, it has extended the deadline for the first phase to November 1 now.
