October 23, 2019
NASA chief Jim Bridenstine claimed that the agency will be able to land on Mars by 2035.
At the International Astronautical Congress, Nasa chief said, “If we are accelerating the moon landing, we are accelerating the Mars landing.”
Even the Vice President of Nasa backed the claim by saying, “With Apollo in the history books, the Artemis mission has begun, and we are well on our way to making NASA’s moon-to-Mars mission a reality.”
At the IAC, both Chief and Vice President discussed their vision to reach mars and to create a life there.
The statement which brought hope to make the dream a reality was said by Chief Bridenstine to the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, “We can move up the Mars landing by moving up the moon landing (to 2024).We need to learn how to live and work in another world. The moon is the best place to prove those capabilities and technologies. The sooner we can achieve that objective, the sooner we can move on to Mars.”
