New Rs. 200 Notes to be Issued on 25th August 2017

According to a leading news agency, the Reserve Bank of India will issue the much-awaited Rs. 200 currency notes in the Mahatma Gandhi i.e. the new Series tomorrow from select RBI offices and banks.
The Rs. 200 notes will be issued in bright yellow color and bear a motif of Sanchi Stupa on the reverse that represents India’s heritage.
According to the RBI, the new currency denomination was introduced to make the monetary transactions easier for the common man and to tackle the problem of counterfeiting.
