Nirmala Sitharaman to Meet CEOs of Banks for Assessment

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is to meet with the CEOs of the public sector banks (PSBs) today to discuss ways to push the economy and review their financial performance. She will also take stock of the progress in the resolution of the non-performing assets (NPAs) under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC).
The meeting of Sitharaman with the PSBs bears a lot of significance as it will be the first after the NDA was re-elected for central governance.
