No more minimum balance requirements says SBI
No more minimum balance requirements says SBI. It has also rationalized the interest rate on saving bank accounts. 
 
Earlier customers with saving bank accounts in urban areas, semi urban areas and rural areas had to maintain minimum balance in their accounts. SBI will no longer charge penalty if customers fail to maintain minimum balance. 
 
SBI declared 3% interest rate for saving banks accounts.
