PNB Fraud: 8 More Officials Suspended

Public sector Punjab National Bank (PNB), which is surrounded by controversies regarding the Rs. 11,000 crores fraud has now suspended 8 more officials for their involvement in the scam, a senior official said.
The official said that the lender also plans to repay other banks the due amounts by March-end with the help of internal resources funding. In addition to that, it will look into 36 accounts to recover the dues for itself.
The total number of officials that have been suspended by PNB for possible involvement in the scam has reached 18 as of now.
