Pune Tops Ease of Living Index Among 111 Cities

Pune stood at the first position on the “Ease of Living Index” out of 111 cities in India considering social, institutional, economic and physical parameters. It was launched by the Housing and Urban Affairs Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri in New Delhi on the sidelines of “Swacch Survekshan 2019”, which is a nationwide cleanliness survey.
Greater Mumbai was ranked at number three on the index followed by Triputi, Chandigarh, Thane, Raipur, Indore, Vijayawada and Bhopal. With 4 cities in the top ten from Maharashtra alone, there is none from Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh.
