Shanghai Becomes World’s First District to Have 5G Coverage
This Saturday, the largest city in China i.e. Shanghai claimed that it’s become the world’s first district that has access to both broadband gigabit network and 5G coverage.

According to China Daily, trial runs of the 5G network which offers Internet speeds 10 to 100 times faster than 4G network have started in Shanghai’s Hongkou through 5G base stations that have been set up across the district.

Although Chinese telecom leader Huawei has been facing severe opposition from the US and other countries over its reported circumvented sanctions imposed on Iran and North Korea, it’s working to expand the 5G connectivity in China with help from the government as per the reports.
