Smart Cities Face Risk of Cyber Attacks, Say Experts
As the government continues to push its goal of setting up 100 Smart cities across the country, experts have raised concerns over cybersecurity threats that loom over the ambitious undertaking.

A FICCI-KPMG report on ‘Cyber Security in Smart Cities’ said that while the Internet of Things (IoT) technology has many uses, it has its share of cyber risks as well. It also said that in the development of the Smart Cities, key concerns regarding privacy, security, and trust must be addressed.

The Smart Cities of India will give shelter to around 40% of the entire population and contribute about 75% of the GDP by 2030.
