TCS, Infosys, Wipro to hire 60,000 women employees

Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, and HCL Technologies are probably going to hire near 60,000 females from campuses this year, as they look to further improve gender diversity.

For most of these top Indian IT services organizations, the number of females they plan to hire in entry level jobs this year is probably going to be one of the highest.

As much as 60% of new employees hired from campuses at HCL this year would be females. Wipro and Infosys are each focusing on this to be about a large portion of the entry level roles. At Tata Consultancy Services, this is probably going to be 38-45% as in the previous three years.

HCL, which plans to hire a sum of 22,000 individuals at the section level this year, is the ambitious a lot, as it expects to contact the 50:50 mix in gender diversity in the coming years. “This can happened if we build our talent pool starting from entry level,” chief HR official Apparao VV said.

All these organizations are slowly expanding the hiring numbers of females. In the previous two years, 40% of employees recruited at the entry level at HCL were ladies.
