UIDAI Takes mAadhaar Security One Notch up with New Feature

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) said it has incorporated a new security feature of “time-based OTP” (TOTP) to its mAadhaar i.e. Aadhaar’s mobile app.
mAadhaar app is a digital version of Aadhaar card. It’s created to eliminate the need for carrying the actual Aadhaar card all the time. Just like Aadhaar card, it displays all the details like name, DOB, address, and photograph as well.
UIDAI said that with the new TOTP feature people won’t need to wait to receive the OTP on their phones as it will always be available on their mAadhaar app.
