Unemployment Rate in 11 States Higher than National Average

According to the National Sample Survey Office’s (NSSO’s) annual periodic labor force survey, the unemployment rate in 11 states is higher than the national average in 2017-18. It said that Bihar, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Jharkhand, Assam, Odisha, and Haryana are the states where the unemployment rate continues to be high as it was in 2011-12. However, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, and Telangana which joined the list in 2017-18 are still on the list as well.
