Unemployment to Remain an Issue if Manufacturing Doesn’t Improve, Says Kotak Securities

Brokerage house Kotak Securities said that if the manufacturing sector fails to pick up the pace, then India will face a “jobless growth scenario” in the next few years. CEO Kamlesh Rao said that the services sector which is a major provider of jobs in the country will surely go down. As a result, the manufacturing sector needs to be boosted to that new job opportunities can be created.
Rao said that the trade war between the US and China has given an opportunity to India to push its manufacturing sector.
