Union Minister Suresh Prabhu Confident of Meeting 100 bn USD FDI Target by 2020
Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu said that the government is looking to attracting FDI worth 100 billion USD by 2020. He said that in 2018, India saw an FDI inflow of 38 billion USD which helped it surpasses China for the first time in 20 years as it got FDI of only 32 billion USD. This was largely on the back of the Flipkart-Walmart deal that was alone worth 16 billion USD. 

Prabhu said that the government is performing a sector analysis and working on new policies that can help to increase the FDI in India.
