Unpredictability in Work Expected due to 4th Industrial Revolution: India
April 15, 2019
This Thursday, India’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador K Nagaraj Naidu said that the 4th industrial revolution is likely to disrupt the labor market and lead to unpredictability in the future of work. He said that we need to localize and re-examine the broader dimensions of development to secure the future of work with economic security and dignity.
Naidu who was attending a high-level plenary meeting to commemorate the 100th anniversary of ILO’s establishment said that more than 50% of India’s population is of age 25 or lower, and more than 65% of age 35 or lower. Thus, education and decent work have become a priority for the country, he said.
