UPI crosses 1 billion transactions for the first time in Oct

The Unified Payment Interface (UPI) has crossed the one billion mark for the very first time since its establishment.
UPI launched in 2016 and it is observed that 1.91 lakh crore worth 1.15 billion transactions were made in October.
Apparently, according to the RBI, UP transactions were made more than the debit card in 2018-2019.
UPI has also recently crossed 100 million users. This makes UPI one of the fastest-growing payment systems anywhere in the world.
