Usha Ananthasubramanian Becomes First Woman Chairman of IBA

The Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) has chosen Allahabad Bank’s current managing director Usha Ananthasubramanian as its new chairman, which makes her the first woman chairman of the 71-year old body as well.

IBA said that its managing committee has appointed Ananthasubramanian as its chairman till August, after which she will step down from the position. It has also chosen State Bank of India’s chairman Rajnish Kumar as its deputy chairman.
