WhatsApp Pay in India Still a Priority for Facebook
Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the company is excited for the growth of digital payments in India and aims at launching WhatsApp Pay service soon. He said that tests are being run in India for WhatsApp Pay and the service might be rolled out in other countries as well in the near future.

Zuckerberg said that on Facebook and Instagram there are tens of millions of small businesses that have set up pages or use Marketplace to sell products. However, when someone is using a messaging service (WhatsApp), they find the atmosphere quite intimate and private which makes it a natural place to interact with a business and carry transactions.
