Wipro, IIT-Kharagpur Join Hands to Research in 5G, AI

IT giant Wipro has partnered with one of India’s apex institutes in engineering IIT Kharagpur to research in the domains of 5G technology and artificial intelligence (AI) with a focus on industry-specific applications.
Wipro said that it will benefit from the collaboration by developing solutions for its customers in various markets. IIT Kharagpur, on the other hand, will capitalize on Wipro’s industry expertise and commercialization of research insights. Some of the key areas where they will apply AI research include cybersecurity, education, healthcare, and climate change.
