₹3,650 cr Paid to 11 mn UP Farmers Covered Under PM Kisan so Far

Around 11 million farmers in Uttar Pradesh are now covered under the minimum farm income guarantee scheme and make for around 45% of the total 23.8 million beneficiaries, the highest number compared to other states. The government has disbursed ₹3,650 crores for them so far.
Under PM Kisan Yojana, beneficiaries are offered ₹6,000 per year which is released in installments of ₹2,000 each every four months. It was launched by PM Narendra Modi himself at Gorakhpur on February 24 this year.
