$1,000 mn Opportunity in India in Lithium-Ion Battery Recycling

According to JMK Research, the lithium-ion market in India is expected to grow exponentially in the next 5 years. It also said that the growth offers $1,000 million opportunities in the country by 2020. It said that recycling has potential but it can only be unlocked if and when the government introduces a comprehensive regulatory and policy framework.
One of the government initiatives that will push the growth of the lithium-ion battery market in the country is the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan 2020. It looks to roll out as many as 7 million electric vehicles on Indian roads by 2020.
