21 cr Drought Assistance Given to Over 51,000 Farmers in Maharashtra

According to an official, drought assistance worth ₹21.09 crores have been given to over 51,000 farmers in Palghar district of Maharashtra. The reservoirs in the district were able to have only 22% of the stock of the total capacity as there was a deficient monsoon last year, the official said.
District collector Prashant Narvavre said that so far 51,174 farmers in 333 villages in the district have been paid ₹21.09 crores.
