40% Households Across Globe Now Have Connected Devices: Study

Digital security products company Avast in partnership with Stanford University released a study paper which says that around 40% of households across the world have at least one Internet of Things (IoT) device. It says that the highest density of IoT devices of any region are located in North America as it has 66% of households that have at least one IoT device.

The study says that 94% of all IoT devices in the world are manufactured by only 100 vendors even though there are more than 14,000 IoT manufacturers that are operational today.
