ATM Frauds Increased in FY18-19, Maharashtra Most Affected: Report

According to the data shared by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), frauds related to ATMs in the country increased between FY18 and FY19. It shows that the number of related cases was 911 in FY18 and they increased to 980 in FY19. It also shows that the highest number of frauds were reported in Maharashtra as there were 223 cases that involved a total amount of ₹4.81 crores in FY19.

The data shared by the central bank shows that Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Tripura are the only states where no cases of ATM frauds were reported.
