With Bad Loans Increased to 5.61%, SBI Reports Huge loss of Rs. 2,416 cr

Public sector State Bank of India (SBI) reported a net loss of Rs. 2,416 crores for the third quarter on standalone basis, and Rs. 1,886 crores on a consolidated basis. It also said that its non-performing assets increased to 5.61% compared to 4.24% that was recorded during the same period in the previous fiscal year.

SBI said that it’s non-interest income reduced by 29.75% to Rs. 8,084 crores from Rs. 11,507 crore citing mark-to-market losses from its treasury operations.
