Bandhan Konnagar to Expand Financial Support for the Underprivileged

Non-profit organization Bandhan Konnagar, which is backed by the Bandhan Bank, said that it plans to expand its financial services to about 100,000 poor families by 2020 with the goal of converting them into the users of the bank itself.

So far, Bandhan Konnagar has extended financial support to about 56,000 families in nine states under its targeting hardcore poor (THP) programme. Out of these, 42,000 have come out of the subsistence-level poverty to qualify for micro credit.
