Bangladesh Receives $200 Million Loan for Infrastructure Development from ADB

As a big boost to its infrastructure development, the government of Bangladesh is set to receive a loan of $200 million from the Asian Development Bank.

According to Bangladeshi English newspaper The Daily Star, the country’s government is struggling with achieving sustainable and inclusive growth in today’s era of fast-paced urbanization. Surprisingly, it has observed a decent economic growth at 6.6% on average.

The press release said that the additional financing will help in the development of 600km of roads and install or improve 180km of water supply pipes, and more.
