Digitally Skilled Talent Demand to Increase at 35% CAGR, Says NASSCOM

According to IT body NASSCOM, the demand for digitally skilled workers is expected to grow at a Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 35% till 2023. Body president Debjani Ghosh said that up to 60 to 65% of the 4 million jobs in the industry are expected to change in the next 5 years and that by 2022, more than half of all employees will need upskilling and reskilling.

Ghosh said that NASSCOM’s top priority is to reskill the current base and has taken a slew of initiatives for the same. One of the first ones that was proposed was joining hands with educational institutions.
