Ease of Doing Business: PM Modi to Hold Meeting with Policymakers, Industrialists Today

In a bid to materialize India’s vision of making it to the top 50 in World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Index, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a meeting with top industrialists and policymakers today.
The meeting has been organized by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) and will be joined by industrialists such as Anand Mahindra and top government officials that worked on improving the “ease of doing index” on the basis of parameters shared by the World Bank.
Minister of Commerce & Industry Suresh Prabhu said that the government is working on business parameters on a district level as it wants to take a bottom-up approach by helping local industries.
