India Should Start with ₹500 Basic Income Per Head, Says Guys Standing
Guy Standing, who is a co-founder of the Basic Income Earth Project and a well-known British Professorial Associate of Development Studies at the University of London said that all political parties must assess various models of guaranteed basic income. He said that India should start with a ₹500 monthly basic income per individual of a wider section of the population. 

Sharing an example, Standing said that India can try offering basic income support to the tribal families. He said that several of his studies have shown that when basic income is provided to tribal families, then it can make a huge difference.
