J&K to Receive Benefits of Ayushman Bharat Scheme from Bajaj Allianz General

Jammu & Kashmir looks to receive its first mass health scheme i.e. Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) or “Ayushman Bharat” from private general insurer Bajaj Allianz General Insurance. Interestingly, the insurer is the first from the private sector to win a mandate for PMJAY that was launched on September 23.
Bajaj Allianz General will provide health insurance to more than 6 lakh families in J&K, which is roughly a third of the entire state’s population, and covers all 22 districts.
