Permanent Residency of Indians in Canada Increased by 51%

According to a report by The Times of India, although the US is making it more difficult for immigrants to obtain permanent residency in the country, its neighbor Canada is welcoming Indians to settle there. It said that more than 39,500 Indian citizens received permanent residency in Canada in 2018 which is a 51% increase against the year 2017.
Canada uses the Express Entry System (EES) to manage applications for permanent residency for eligible workers. Candidates are selected based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).
