PhonePe, Paytm plans to spend on marketing

Digital payment firms are going to spend Rs. 2000 crore on marketing in 2020 as their main focus is to create brand awareness for the wider audience and increase their active audience.

The spending made by both the digital payment firms is to create brand awareness, advertising, and give attention to digital marketing as well.

PhonePe has decided to spend around 800 cr in marketing while Paytm is investing 1,200 cr.

PhonePe Ceo, Sameer Nigam said, “The main focus of the company is to increase the number of users this year and the company is going to co-sponsor TV broadcast for IPL in 2020”.
