Seven-Eight States Responsible for India’s Failure: Niti Aayog

Niti Aayog’s Chief Executive Officer Amitabh Kant said that India is held back because of 7-8 eastern states which must be named and shamed. He said that analysis has revealed that there are about 200 districts in these states that are failing in education, nutrition, and health.

Kant, who was present at the Impact Conclave said that while the southern and western regions of the country are doing well, the eastern part is completely in red. He added that unless we focus on the 200 identified districts it will be difficult for the country to grow and move forward.
