Temp Hiring Increased as GST Formalizes Economy

With the Goods and Services Tax (GST) formalizing economy and e-commerce, temp hiring has picked up across the country, staffing firms Randstad, TeamLease Services, Quess, etc. said. As per their estimates, the recruitment numbers are at a 4-year high and likely to cross 300,000 against 130,000 of last year.
TeamLease Services co-founder Rituparna Chakraborty said that since GST helped with the formalization of the labour sector, organized temporary staffing is now gaining traction in corporate India.
